History

For more than 35 years Hardcast (later Carlisle) is active in the adhesive and sealants business. End of 1978 the Hardcast products were only produced in the factory in Wylie (Texas/USA), the European production started later in 1982. This European facility in Weesp/The Netherlands, managed by Eric and Ivo Overtoom, grew rapidly from a small company to a professional factory. The Hardcast product range was represented by several offices and agents in almost all European countries. In 1998 the company was sold to Carlisle inc. and the organisation was able to continue their growing potential.

Unfortunately the factory and offices in Weesp were completely destroyed by a fire on 14 April 2003. After a rebuild period of more than 1,5 years the production started again per 1st January 2005. The present new installation and machines offer Hardcast the possibility to meet any competition. Still research, development and production take place entirely in-house and enables Hardcast to provide their customers with optimum quality and design at the best possible price. Tailor-made products can be supplied for special projects for relatively small quantities.
